Sketchbooks are not about being a good artist, they’re about being a good thinker.

This one is blowing through the internets right now. And rightly so. All I have to say is that Jason Santa Maria continues to show why he is a leader in the design industry. This guy is an innovator in not just the framework and design he uses, but also in how he approaches his work. I myself have been trying to get into this habit and will be looking forward to joining the flickr group. He puts the focus on the process and the practice of the discipline, not necessarily on the level of quality that is coming out of it. It is about being able to produce ideas and find the right solutions.
